GEORGE LYNCH, TRACII GUNS To Appear At DALLAS INTERNATIONAL GUITAR FESTIVAL
April 21, 2006George Lynch (DOKKEN, LYNCH MOB) and Tracii Guns (L.A. GUNS, BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION) are among the musicians scheduled to appear at The Dallas International Guitar Festival, described as "the world's largest and oldest guitar show, blending musicians, fans, collectors and celebrities together into one musical extravaganza." Visitors can buy, sell, trade, or just browse among the thousands upon thousands of new and vintage guitars, basses, amps, banjos, mandolins, straps and strings, effects pedals, keyboards, music memorabilia and more. Rub elbows with guitar legends and up-and-coming artists.
More than 15,000 people attended last year's event at Dallas Market Hall, with over $3 million of instruments and memorabilia trading hands.
Dallas International Guitar Festival and Drum World hours are 2-7 p.m. Friday, with live music concerts and 1310 The Ticket Jam continuing outside the venue until 11 p.m.; Saturday, from 10 a.m.-7 p.m., followed by an All Star Jam on the Peavey Stage that night from 7-11 p.m.; and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, April 23. MusicFest performance hours start at 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. A one-day ticket price for both the Guitar Festival, Drumworld, and MusicFest is $16 for adults and children 11 or older; free for children 10 and under. Two-day festival passes are available for $26, and three-day passes are available for $36. Three-day festival passes include free admission to the All Star Jam Saturday night; all tickets are available at the door. Discount one-day tickets can be purchased at Guitar Center.
